PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque sensor in which the strength of a shaft is not lowered and whose constitution is simple. SOLUTION: In a torque sensor 1, an exciting coil 4 and an exciting coil 14 are arranged and installed on the outer circumference of a shaft 2 with reference to the shaft 2 to which a torque is applied, and the applied torque is detected by a detecting coil 3 and a detecting coil 13. The detecting coils 3, 13 are installed on the outer circumference of the exciting coils 4, 14. A magnetic yoke 5 and a magnetic yoke 15 which change the flow direction of a magnetic flux in the shaft 2 are installed. The magnetic yokes 5, 15 are arranged and installed so as to become a prescribed angleθwith reference to the shaft 2.
