<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize operation without being complicated to perform a quick pointing without giving a stress by providing a touch panel and a pushbutton on the surface of the casing of a device for transmitting or transmitting and receiving operation transmitting signals to remotely control various devices, and making this device into a structure to be held by both hands. SOLUTION: A tablet 1 in which an absolute coordinate system is adapted to make x', y' correspond to the xy coordinate on the menu screen (GUI) 6 of an image display device 5 in 1:1 is arranged on the surface of the casing 4 of a remote control device 3. A user selects an intended icon on the menu screen 6 appearing on the image display device 5 as if he toughs the part of the icon on the tablet 1. In the casing 4, an operation such determination, right click, left click or the like is performed by use of a determination button 2, and the casing 4 is held by the right hand in the direction 7 for holding by the right hand and in the direction 8 for holding by the left hand 8. Even if an apparatus requiring remote control such as television image receiver is made multifunctional, the pointing speed can be quickly stabilized.</p> |
