FIELD: breakage of crystal-containing rocks by extended charges. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling of hole rows (blast holes) by any known pattern (row, diagonal, etc.) so that distance between holes in row does not exceed Rp, provided holes are located within design contour, on face area, and distance between hole rows is not in excess of W (hole location within face area within design contour. Depth of drilling of hole is not in excess of Lci and charge value in it is within Lzi. All values (Rp, W, Lci, Lzi) are determined depending on mining and geological, and mining and engineering conditions of mining operations and permissible blasting load on rock mass to provide for preservation of mined crystals.
