摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically stabilize the oscillation frequency of laser diode by selectivity utilizing any of a plurality of absorption lines obtained by a resonance cell. SOLUTION: The laser beam intensity of a laser diode 102 which has transmitted a resonance cell 101, having a plurality of absorption lines of different intensities, is measured with a measuring means 103, and according to the output signal representing the measuring result, a stabilizing control means 104 controls the operating environment for the laser diode 102 through an environment adjusting means 105. Here, the device is provided with a clipping means 111 with which, according to the input of clip-instruction, the output signal of the measuring means 103 is clipped at a specified clip level for process by the stabilizing control means 104, and a clip control means 112 which at the start-up of a wavelength stabilizing light source device, sends a clip instruction for clipping the output signal. After the oscillation wavelength of the laser diode 102 is stabilized, the clip control means 112 which calls off clipping, is provided.
