The sand is made to move in the water bed by the force of air or water jets, thus causing the dirt particles to loosen from it and float up to the surface of the water where they are evacuated over an overflow. The water bed is installed in a sloping channel which contains a mechanical transporter for the sand and a press for its dewatering. |
