FIELD: flocculation of coagulated matters in flow, possibly at purification of sewage and in other technological processes. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes mutually connected identical sections. Each section includes diffuser, cylindrical and converging portions. Stationary screw inserts are mounted in cylindrical portions and in converging portions. Inserts mounted in cylindrical portions are in the form of cylindrical double-start screw; inserts mounted in converging portions are in the form of cone single-start screw. Sizes of sections are selected in such a way that to provide the best hydrodynamic conditions for flocculation. When treated suspension flows from one section to another flake size increases due to sticking fine particles together one with another and with large flakes generated beforehand. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, stability and efficiency of operation. 1 dwg
