PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat developable diazo copying material excellent in initial image quality and image reliability, not causing surface fog and excellent also in long-term raw stock preservability by preparing a diazo copying material comprising a photosensitive layer contg. a diazo compd. and a coupler layer contg. a coupler component and incorporating PVA and boric acid into the photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: In a diazo copying material comprising a photosensitive layer contg. a diazo compd. and a coupler layer contg. a coupler component, PVA and boric acid are contained in the photosensitive layer. The PVA has a saponification degree of >=85, preferably 90-99, and a polymn. degree of 300-2,000, preferably 1,000-1,800, and boric acid is contained by 0.3-3.0 pts.wt. per 1 pt.wt. PVA. When the saponification degree and the polymn. degree are not in the ranges, no effect is produced or properties of a coating soln. deteriorate. |
