发明名称 MULTIPLEHYDROCYCLONE
摘要 1281400 Hydrocyclones CELLECO AB 20 Nov 1969 [20 Nov 1968 8 Sept 1969] 56840/69 Heading B2P A multiple-hydrocyclone comprises a number of hydrocyclones each consisting of an elongated vortex chamber 10, Fig. 1, having a feed inlet 12 and an axial accept outlet 11 at one end, and an axial reject outlet 13 at the other end, the vortex-chambers being arranged around a central accept chamber 1 with one group of vortex chambers above another group and having their accept outlets 11 communicating with the central accept chamber 1, there being provided means for collecting reject discharged from the reject outlets 13 and reject flow sensing means for detecting changes of flow from each reject outlet so that blockage of one or more reject outlets during operation may be detected. In Fig. 1, the reject end of each vortex chamber 10 of each group projects into an outlet pipe 6 opposite a stopper, 14, provided with a transparent section 14a, Fig. 3, through which the flow of reject from the outlet 13 of the respective chamber 10 can be observed by optical means. The transparent section 14a is provided with an impingement plate 18 directed towards the reject outlet 13 of the hydrocyclone. Alternatively, the pipes are rectangular in shape and are wholly or partially made of transparent material, a flat or convex-shaped impingement plate being provided opposite the reject outlet of each chamber 10. In an alternative construction, Fig. 6 (not shown), instead of opening direct into the pipe 6, the reject end of the chamber 10 opens into a chamber, opposite an impingement plate on a stopper, the chamber being connected through a transparent tube to the pipe 6. Instead of the vortex chambers 10 being arranged radially of the accept chamber 1, their axes may be offset from the radial direction. In another arrangement, the vortex chambers may point obliquely upwards, Fig. 7 (not shown). As shown in Fig. 1, the flow of reject from each vertical group of vortex chambers may be controlled by a flow meter in the form of a calibrated orifice in a flange 16 installed between each pipe 6 and a common collection pipe 7. The feed inlets 12 of the vortex chambers communicate with the interior of an annular chamber 4 to which suspension is introduced through an inlet 5. Gas is removed from the system during the separation process by means of a vacuum pump 21 connected to the upper ends of the accept chamber 1 and of the reject pipes 6, the level of suspension in the latter being kept below that of the lowest vortex chambers by barometric pipes 23, 24. Partitions 29, 30, which may also be in the form of rotating spreading discs, are provided in the accept chamber to facilitate degassing. In an alternative arrangement for degassing, Fig. 9, the accept chamber 1 communicates with an overlying degassing chamber 31 by way of an ascending pipe 32, the chamber 31 having a bottom outlet 2a for accept connected to a descending pipe 23. The vacuum pump 21 in this case is connected only to the chamber 21. In a further arrangement, Figs. 10 and 11 (not shown), suction pipes project into the accept outlets of the vortex chamber to remove the liquid-free cores of gas therefrom, the suction pipes of each vertical group of vortex chambers being connected to a common vertical pipe extending within and out of the accept chamber 1 and connected to a vacuum pump. In another embodiment, Fig. 12, the reject flow from the outlets 13 of the vortex chambers is collected in a chamber 6 defined by coaxial jackets 41, 42. Opposite the outlets 13 of a vertical group of vortex chambers there is an opening in the jacket 42 closed by a closure device 43a with a transparent section 44 provided with impingement plates 45. The outlet end of each vortex chamber is surrounded by a loose guide 46 having openings 47 for the passage of reject into the chamber 6. In a modification, Fig. 13 (not shown), instead of a common opening in the jacket 42 for each vertical group of vortex chambers, the end of each chamber opens into a flanged sleeve screwed in an opening in the jacket 42 and closed at its radially outer end by a transparent section, the sleeve having an opening for the passage of reject into the chamber 6. In modifications, the accept chamber may have a polygonal cross-section, the vortex chambers may be cylindrical; the feed chamber may be replaced by separate pipes connected to the inlets of the vortex chambers; the outlet pipes 6, Fig. 1, may be provided with windows in other places than in stoppers 14.
