The generator has a large number of poles and an outer rotor (6) enclosing an inner stator laminations packet (8) wound with a stator winding (9) and supported by cooling ribs (11), simultaneously transmitting the generator load to the mast head (4) of the energy converter. The outer rotor can be provided by a thin-walled cylindrical yoke (12) with permanent magnets (10) on its inside and cooling ribs (13) on its outside for intensive cooling of the permanent magnets. |
