PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To weld a carburized part to form a metal plate as it is by constituting the metal plate with a material having a low carbon content so that a martensitic transformation does not occur in a molten metal after welding and cooling. SOLUTION: By placing a press member (metal plate)B upon a cylindrical member (carburized part) A, and by irradiating it from the press member (metal plate) B side with a high energy beam, welding is performed. It is preferable that the carbon content of the molten metal M is 0.22% or below, and the molten metal M after cooling, is made to a sorbitic structure, but not a martensitic structure. It is preferable that the carbon content of the press member (metal plate) B is 0.1% or below. It is preferable that the high energy beam is an electron beam, stable welding beads, whose depths of penetration to bead widths are large, are obtained, and it is not necessary to perform a carburizing proof treatment in advance and to eliminate the carburized part by machining.
|
