PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the operating reliability of a pressure generating device by providing a restraining part for restraining an operating fluid from flowing into a vacuum passage in case of the leakage of the operating fluid introduced into a master cylinder in the pressure generating device for generating braking force in an automobile. SOLUTION: When input members 11a, 11b are moved forward through an input rod 10 by depressing a brake pedal, a seal part 16a of a control valve 16 in a vacuum type booster is seated on a valve seat 8a to cut off communication with a vacuum source. A rear chamber 7 is communicated with the atmosphere through an air path 8d, and a movable wall 5 is driven by air pressure difference so as to drive a master cylinder through an output rod 13 and the like. In this case, a retainer 30 for preventing the fall of the output rod 13 from a valve housing 8 is provided with a guide part 30g for guiding brake fluid to the outside of the retainer 30 when the brake fluid leaking on the master cylinder side flows to the retainer 30, thus preventing the brake fluid from flowing into the valve housing 8. |
