PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent forgery or alteration or facilitate discovery for signs of forgery or alteration by bending a booklet thereby partially exposing an end part of a page face of the booklet and transferring an image on an intermediate recording medium to the exposed part. SOLUTION: A booklet is bent to expose an end part of a booklet page. For instance, a face photograph 56, information represented by an ID number or the like or coded personal data 57 is appropriately selected to form an image to the part. This is one means for preventing alteration. Although enclosed by a square for convenience's sake, actually, information comprising characters, symbols, patterns, etc., is recorded as the personal data 57. It is difficult for a general printer to form the image with providing a protecting layer to the end part of the booklet. The booklet becomes hard to forge and a replaced page can be judged from the image of the end part. The booklet is bent by a correction roller in a direction opposite to a bend direction by a platen roller, so that the bend of the booklet is removed. |
