PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make protruding parts sufficiently display a slip preventive action, and make a gripping member which covers the protruding parts, hard to slip in the longitudinal direction by a method wherein annular protruding parts are provided on the total periphery of an area on a barrel cylinder, which is gripped at the time of a writing. SOLUTION: For a barrel cylinder 2 containing a ball-point pen refill which has a ball-point pen tip 1 at the tin end, a recess 2a is formed on the front part, and a cylindrical gripping member 3 made of a flexible elastic material such as silicon rubber, is attached. The recess 2a has an annular groove 2b at a front part, and an annular inward protuberance 3a which is formed at a front part on the internal wall of the gripping member 3 is fitted in the annular groove 2b. Also, a plurality of annular protruding parts 2c which extend to the total periphery of the barrel cylinder 2 are formed, and the internal wall of the gripping member 3, which is a flexible material, deforms to the shapes, and a slipping off is stopped.
