The coupling for two pipes (12,14) set at right angles to one another with one acting as a support, comprises a flat and preferably parallelepiped base (16) with two or more holes (18) which goes between the pipes and is joined to them by connectors (20,22) passing round the pipes. One set of connectors (20) is in the form of flat U-shaped arches which fit over one pipe, have their ends in contact with or close to the base and held in place by hoops. The other set of connectors (22) is in the form of stirrups passing round the second pipe and made with out-turned end lugs with holes. The holes in the lugs are aligned with the holes in the plate and receive the ends of the hoops, which are threaded for fixing nuts. |
