In existing rotors for electrical motors, rotor winding wires stand the risk of breaking due to buffeting. The inventive rotor (1) for an electrical motor has a commutator (7), a rotor shaft (9) with a rotor winding (13) located on a rotor body (4) that is non-torsionally mounted on the rotor shaft (9). The commutator (7) has lamellae (16) extending next to each other in peripheral direction with an insulating gap and having terminal lugs (18) to connect the leads (20) of the rotor winding (13), whereby an additional winding (22) is made around the leads (2) in the area between the commutator (7) and the rotor body (4) for fixing or stabilizing the leads (20). The inventive rotor is designed for electrical motors in motor vehicle construction.
