The base section (44) is made of thermoplastic. The disc supports (46) and/or interface (e.g. for lid - not shown) are molded from a second thermoplastic, which is injected over the base section and bonded firmly with it. An Independent claim is included for the method of making the carrier. The base section is injected, then the second plastic is injected over it in a second mold cavity.
