The system is primarily driven by the high temp. heat of the exhaust gas. An absorption heat pump is used, whose absorber/desorber and condenser/evaporator are mounted in a container (1) which does not have a regulated valve or non-return flap. A filter system of zeolite/water is used. Two flow channels (2,3) which are alternately subjected to exhaust gas and ambient air or with ambient air and air to be conditioned.
