A phosphorescent sign which permits the details of display to be recognized satisfactorily for a long period of time and which can be disposed in an arbitrary place. The phosphorescent sign has a magnet, a phosphorescent sheet bonded to an upper surface of the magnet, and a transparent protective film covering the sheet. The sign is attached to a support made from a ferromagnetic material, such as iron, by an attractive force of the magnet. Accordingly, it can be disposed in an arbitrary place. It can also be removed and transferred to another place. Therefore, when it is necessary to temporarily guide people to some place, or when the necessity of urgently removing this sign happens, operations for fixing and removing the sign can be simplified.
