Floors being renovated are laid in two components making up a single unit composed of precisely dimensioned floor plates and bearer troughs to give a preferred total width as purpose fit to the floor area in question. Suggested bearer material is shaped into troughs by fitting ridge strips which are laid slightly compressed into a watertight, firm join also acting as distanced pieces.
