An imaging apparatus comprises a charge coupled device 23 for converting incident light into an image signal, a sample-and-holder 25 for sampling the image signal output by the charge coupled device, an analog-to-digital converter 27 for converting the sampled analog signal into a digital signal, a still image path 29 for transmitting a still picture signal from the analog-to-digital converter, a moving image path installed independently of the still image path, for transmitting a moving image signal from the analog-to-digital converter, and a digital signal processor 31 for processing digital signals transmitted via the still and moving image paths. The still image path includes at least one frame memory. |
