<p>A filter medium by use of which a long-life compact air cleaning system having a function of removing floating fine particles from the air, and a function of decomposing organisms for deodorizing and antibacterial effects is provided. This filter medium is fabricated by superposing a uniaxial oriented film of titanium oxide-containing unbaked PTFE on a uniaxial oriented film of semi baked PTFE, forming a laminated film by stretching these films in the widthwise direction thereof, and laminating nonwoven cloths of resin on both sides of the laminated film. In this filter medium, the titanium oxide-containing PTFE film layer acts as a breathing layer (2) having a function of a photocatalyst, the titanium oxide non-containing PTFE film layer acts as a breathing layer (3) having a floating particle capturing function, and the resin nonwoven cloth layers act as breathing support layers (4a, 4b). <IMAGE></p> |
