PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a communication terminal, which is used, while being connected to a digital communication network having a channel for control signal (Dch) and a channel for information signal (Bch), and connecting it to a digital communication network having only the Bch as well without changing hardware configuration or user operations. SOLUTION: When using the communication terminal is used, which is to be used while being connected to an ISDN network having Dch and Bch and connecting it to a leased line having only the Bch, the information signal for call control generated by a signal generating part 104 is set into a specified area inside the Bch and transmitted later and call control data transmitted, while being set into the specified area are recognized by a signal recognizing part 105. Based on the instruction from a user or the recognized result of the signal recognizing part 105, a control part 111 instructs call control data to be generated to the signal generating part 104 and controls the operation of the present terminal such as guidance display.
