PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high speed storage device which can be easily miniaturized and has a capability to gain access with a high resolution. SOLUTION: A positioning mechanism 2 in a storage device comprises a suspension arm 24 provided with a magnetic head 21, a rotary supporter 26, and a driving section 30. Seek and follow operation of the magnetic head 21 is transmitted to the suspension arm 24 by vibration of beam parts 31, 32 provided at the driving section 30 through a swinging axis 27 of the rotary supporter 26, and scanning on a storage medium by the magnetic head 21 is performed. A piezoelectric element is provided at the beam part of the driving section 30, and head access control can be performed by applying a voltage having a specified frequency. |
