PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module capable of evading tat strain is generated in a heat sink, optical coupling efficiency is deteriorated, and a flange member is damaged when a module is fixed to a mounting board or the like by using screws. SOLUTION: A package 1 for accommodating an optical semiconductor element 2 is composed of a heat sink 5 and a package main body 6, to which an L-shaped flange member 7 is bonded. A flexible part 7b formed by bending a plate material constituting the flange member 7 in a crank type is installed in the flange member 7. Screws are inserted into screw insertion holes 7a, and an optical module is fixed by fastening the screws. In this case, stress is applied to the flange member 7, but the flexible part 7b is modified and the stress is absorbed. As a result, generation of strain in the heat sink 5 can be prevented. |
