PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document generation method for automatically selecting and transmitting information extracted from a data stream which changes in accordance with the set of subjects in a parameter profile which is previously set. SOLUTION: Information is automatically selected and transmitted from a data stream which is symbolized by the set of prescribed subjects corresponding to a parameter profile and which changes. The first set of the prescribed sets containing a content that is updated so that the data stream changes for long time. A user selects the partial set of the first set and forms the parameter profile. A second document containing a data piece extracted from the secondary and partial set is generated for the user generating the first document. The first document is related with the second document and they are simultaneously transmitted to the user. It is desirable that a system can be applied to the printed document and a step for relating the documents identifies the blank of the first document and arranges the second document in the blank.
