PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a user's wait for response by giving a notice of a print condition mismatch and to evade a long-time wait of another user or host computer waiting for print execution by inhibiting an image from being formed and ejecting a recording medium when detected paper quality does not match print form quality. SOLUTION: It is checked whether or not there is transfer paper matching the specified print size and paper quality in a tray (S34, 35). When not, a tray, etc., of transfer paper of matching size is determined by the specification of 'continue' and printing is carried out under image formation conditions matching the transfer paper (S38, 36). When 'forcible ejection' is specified, namely, when paper feeding is not specified, print data are rewritten into data giving a blank print result (S39, 40) and a developing process and a transfer process are set OFF (S41). A fixing process is set to 'no' (S42) and fixation is set OFF (S43). A page number and a sheet number count are set (S44) and printing is performed (S45). Then, the transfer paper is ejected from the machine while having no image formed. |
