This tobacco smoke filter comprising a porous substrate having copper phthalocyanine or porphyrin dispersed therein. Sodium pyroglutamine, microcapsules, methylcellulose and dry water can also be dispersed within the porous substrate. A method of preparing the tobacco smoke filter is claimed.
