PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized and inexpensive optical transmission/ reception module. SOLUTION: Concerning an optical transmission/reception module 100, an LD 150 and a C-PD 160 are mounted on the surface of a substrate 110 so as to be respectively connected through a Y branch optical waveguide 114a to a dielectric interference film 140 and to be mutually connected through a connection optical waveguide 112c. At the time of transmission from the optical transmission/reception module 100, one part of light Pλ1 ' outputted from the LD 150 is passed through the Y branch optical waveguide 114c and the dielectric interference film filter 140 and outputted from a COM port 116a. Further, the other part of light Pλ1 ' is passed through the connection optical waveguide 112c and received by the C-PD 160, and the light received result is used for controlling the operation of the LD 150. At the time of reception to be performed while dividing time with transmission, light Pλ1 separated from light Pλ1 +λ2 inputted from the COM port 116a through the dielectric interference film filter 140 is received by the C-PD 160. |
