PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for electrophotographic device capable of maintaining a specified temp. in the shaft direction of a heating roller, and obtaining a stable printing quality. SOLUTION: This fixing device is provided with a long heater 12d constituting an approximately whole area in the heating roller 6 shaft direction as a heat generating area, short heaters 12a to 12c on which the heat generating area is respectively set in the area narrower than the long heater 12d, a first temp. detecting means 9 consisting of a heat detecting element fixed on a part of the heating roller end part periphery and a sensor head arranged so as to be possible to face the heat detecting element, second temp. detecting means 15a to 15c arranged in the shaft direction of the heating roller 6 with a specific space and supported in forming a gap with respect to the heating roller periphery, and a controlling means 14 capable of turning on/off the long heater and the short heater based on the output of the first and/or the second temp. detecting means, and moreover varying the turning on time and cycle of the long heater in accordance with data based on the preliminarily set printing speed, the recording material width and the associating quantity. In such a constitution, the fixing device for electrophotographic device capable of maintaining a specific temp. in the shaft direction of the heating roller and obtaining a stable printing quality is made possible to be obtained. |
