PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a harmful deformation in a steel pipe so as to enable highly reliable construction by previously determining the allowable pressure at the time of pressing concrete in a steel pipe by each steel pipe, and always confirming the press-in pressure by an installed pressure gauge. SOLUTION: In this concrete placing method for a steel pipe structural post, at the time of pressing concrete from a pump vehicle 14 in a steel pipe 10, the concrete is placed while the press-in pressure is managed by a pressure gauge 24. The management for the pressure gauge 24 at this time is performed according to the following expression. Pm<=2.sσy(t/sD)<2> , wherein Pm is a reference value, sσy is yield strength of the steel pipe, sD is the width of the steel pipe, and (t) is a board thickness of the steel pipe.
