PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the electric shock of operator at the time of inserting/ detaching an extension card and to perform safe work in a computer system provided with a function capable of inserting/withdrawal the extension card while energizing. SOLUTION: This extension card insertion/withdrawal mechanism 2 for inserting/withdrawal the extension card 5 to/from the card insertion/withdrawal port 3 of the computer system 1 is provided with a cover member 10 where side plate parts 10b facing each other through a groove 11 are formed. The cover member 10 is inserted to the card insertion/withdrawal port 3, both surfaces of the extension card 5 are covered with the side plate parts 10b, the cover member 10 is fixed to the computer system 1 together with the extension card 5 by a fixing lever member 16 and energizing to the extension card 5 is turned OFF at the time of releasing the fixation of the fixing lever member 16. |
