PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which jamming is smoothly eliminated. SOLUTION: When recording paper is jammed, an in-machine remaining paper counter in a remaining paper information storage part 31 is cleared, and information on a recording paper leading edge position is read out from a recording paper position storage part 32 and stored in the storage part 31. Information on a recording paper trailing edge position is read out from the storage part 32 and stored in the storage part 31. The in-machine remaining paper counter in the storage part 31 is incremented by one, and the counter value is stored in the storage part 31. Whether the position of the recording paper which is not normally ejected exists in the storage part 32 and is not stored in the storage part 31 is checked. When the recording paper which is not normally ejected exists, processing from storing the information on the recording paper leading edge position to incrementing the in-machine remaining paper counter by one and judgement whether or not the position of the recording paper is stored are repeated. Thereafter, the in-machine remaining paper counter value in the storage part 31 is indicated to an operation display part 35. |
