摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording device for recording an image on a recording medium by irradiating it with a beam of light based on the image data, which has a high recording accuracy and can accelerate the plotting speed in spite of a relatively simple construction. SOLUTION: This device is a laser scanning device 3 (optical recording device) for recording a image on a photoreceptor 1 (storage medium) by irradiating it 1 with a laser beam L (a beam of light) based on the image data, and is provided with a light source 31; (such optical elements as) a collimator lens 32, a cylindrical lens 34, a deflector 35, etc., for converging the laser beam L emitted from the light source 31 on the photoreceptor 1; a shutter device 33 which is located in the optical path between the light source 31 and the deflector 35 and has three light beam transmission apertures 331-333 which are arranged in a predetermined direction and can independently be opened/shut; a control device 38 for controlling to interlock the emitted light quantity of the light source 31 with the open/close operation of each aperture of the shutter device 33 so that the image data can be recorded on the photoreceptor 1 simultaneously based on the image data of two adjacent picture elements in the corresponding sub scanning direction.
