Weaving terry fabrics with two different pile heights by partial beat-up of different lengths

A second partial beat-up position to give a different pile height is obtained from an additional mechanism (11) driven by an eccentric (12). Under the command of a controller (22) the drive is switched from the mechanism (4) for the first partial beat-up position (a) to the other mechanism (11) to give another partial beat-up position (b) through the link (16). An Independent claim is also included for a terry weaving machine.
