A hydrostatic rotary gear used either as a primary unit with a drive train or for secondary purposes in automotive use, has a rotary pump (1). The pump (1) has two sections (3, 4) of different working volume, and a rotary piston engine (2) with two motors (5, 6) of different working volume. The rotary pump (1) and the rotary piston engine (2) are concentric with each other. The pump (1) housing (7) are joined rigidly to the motor (2) pistons (15, 16). The gear change is effected by a pushrod (47).
