HIGH STRENGTH POLYOLEFIN COATED STEEL MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyolefin coated steel material excellent in impact resistance and water resistance and capable of holding corrosion resistance over a long period of time. SOLUTION: In a polyolefin coated steel material wherein a modified polyolefin layer 2 and a polyolefin layer 3 are laminated to the surface of a steel material 1 to which substrate treatment is applied, a protective sheet 4 wherein a polyolefin resin 6 is laminated to a fabric 5 having tensile elongation of 10% or more and coated with 1 wt.% or more of a polyolefinic primer is applied to the surface of the polyolefin layer 3 to make the impact resistance and water resistance of the steel material excellent. Since this coated steel material is excellent in impact resistance and water resistance as compared with a coventional polyolefin coated steel material, it is optimum as various pipins or a civil engineering building material used in harbor.
