PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the whole length of a press line with a simple construction and a work transfer time and to make a press line speedy. SOLUTION: The work transfer robot 2 successively transfers works to each working stations S1-S3 of press machines P1-P3. In this case, an arm extension device consists of a fixed arm A0 mounted on a feed bar 8, left/right moving arms A1, A2 and a cylinder to extend these moving arms. The feed bar 8 extends the moving arm to hold a work and returns 1/2 of a prescribed stroke, advances a prescribed feed stroke to release the work held to a next stage, retracts the moving arm for pressing after the work is released and returns 1/2 of the prescribed stroke so as to make the arm wait between adjacent press machines. |
