PROTEIN HAVING DOUBLE TAG AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new nucleic acid comprising a nucleic acid encoding a protein having double tag containing target polypeptide sequence, captured tag sequence and detected tag sequence and capable of detecting presence of the protein in the tissue from a genetically modified animal. SOLUTION: This new nucleic acid encodes fused protein having double tag containing a target polypeptide sequence, captured tag sequence and detected tag sequence and the captured tag sequence and the detected tag sequence are each heterogeneous to the target polypeptide sequence. The nucleic acid can be conveniently isolated and determined in the tissue from a genetically modified animal. The nucleic acid is obtained by binding the captured tag sequence encoding octapeptide represented by the formula DYKDDDDK and detected tag sequence encoding nonapeptide represented by the formula YPYDVPDYA through a nucleic acid of oligopeptide linker to a nucleic acid encoding the target polypeptide sequence (e.g. angiostatin).
