METHOD OF GENETIC VARIETAL DIFFERENTIATION OF HOP

A method of the genetic varietal differentiation of hop based on the intervarietal polymorphism on the hop gene sequence. More particularly, the method comprises amplifying a region in the base sequence of hop DNA containing the intervarietal polymorphism by the polymerase chain reaction with the use of varietal differentiation primers which have been designed so as to amplify the above region and then analyzing the DNA fragments thus amplified. This method makes it possible to conveniently and correctly differentiate hop varieties.
