PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purification material and an exhaust gas purifier using it, which can purify exhaust gas components discharged from a diesel engine even in a low temperature zone. SOLUTION: In an exhaust gas purifier, an exhaust gas purification material group arranged on the upstream side of an exhaust gas flow is formed by supporting a mixed catalyst, in which an activated alumina catalyst 30 on which Pd 31 is carried and an inorganic oxide 32 are mixed as catalyst components, on a heat-resistant honeycomb structure 29a, and an exhaust gas purification material group arranged on the downstream side of the exhaust gas flow is formed by supporting a mixed catalyst, in which a silica catalyst 33 on which Pt 34 is carried and an inorganic oxide 35 are mixed as catalyst components, on a heat-resistant honeycomb structure 29b. |
