PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a swing which varies with each of club shaft numbers. SOLUTION: The axis which passes the centroid G of the iron club head and is perpendicular a plane H when each iron club head of the iron golf club set is installed on the plane H in such a manner that its hosel end face IC is horizontal is defined as a Z-axis, the axis which passes the centroid G of the iron club head parallel with the line of intersection of the plane and the clubface as a Y-axis and the axis which passes the centroid G of the iron club head, is perpendicular to the Y-axis and is perpendicular to the Z-axis as an X-axis. The value of the max. inertia moment among the inertia moments around the three inertia main axes orthogonal with each other of the ellipsoid of inertia passing the centroid G of the iron club head 1 of this iron golf club set is then between 2,000 to 5,500 gcm<2> and the inertia moment increases as the club shaft number is larger by one.
|
