<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable sure orthodontic treatment in neatly arranged state by forming an edge wise slot for inserting an arch wire on the surface opposite to the fixing surface of a bracket body, and forming a hook having a pair of opposed surfaces about in the center of the bracket body. SOLUTION: This orthodontic bracket has a body A horizontally long as the whole. The body A has an edge wise slot 1 near the vertical center on the surface opposite to a flat or curved mounting surface to be fixed to teeth surfaces by an adhesive. The slot 1 is formed into a rectangular section for horizontally inserting an arch wire. Central hooks 2, 3 having mutually opposed flat surfaces 2', 3' are formed about in the longitudinal center of the body A, and an outer slot 4 is formed between both the hooks 2, 3. Further, the slot 1 has each pair of hooks 5, 6: 7, 8 formed laterally and vertically and a hole 9 formed in the center.</p> |
