ACETABULAR COMPONENT OF HIP JOINT

摘要

FIELD: endoprosthetics of hip joint in its injuries and diseases. SUBSTANCE: acetabular component of hip joint consists of metal cup with thread on external contour and polymer insert. Polymer insert fully fills internal configuration of metal cup and allows installation of insert into cup with clearance at temperature below temperature of human body that results in wedging of polymer insert in metal cup due to difference of linear expansion coefficients between polymer and metal at temperature of human body. EFFECT: prevented displacement of polymer insert from metal cup of acetabular component of hip joint and reduced load exerted on it. 2 dwg
