The press, comprising lower (3) and upper (4) working units, an upper frame (8) and a spring (7a), has at least one punching tool (10) for the sheet metal blank (2), equipped with a control unit (11) actuated by the upper frame when at its lowest point. The punching tool is actuated at the end of the sheet metal blank forming operation in a portion of the blank which has been subjected to a deformation process in the press. The system (15) which operates the punching tool control unit (11) comprises a power generator (16) operated by the upper frame, an energy accumulation and restoration unit (17), and an energy release unit (18). |
