<p>The invention concerns a concrete comprising organic fibres dispersed in a cement matrix. By combining a cement matrix with predetermined characteristics and organic fibres likewise with predetermined characteristics, in particular the size of the particles, the length and diameter of the fibres, by a synergistic effect between the matrix and the organic fibres, the behaviour of the concrete is improved both with respect to the occurrence of minute cracks and the propagation of large cracks. The figure is a graph resulting from four-point bend tests for metal fibre concrete mixes and organic fibre concrete mixes.</p> |
