PURPOSE:To provide an optical recording sheet capable of easily obtaining a recorded image having high resolution and precise density gradation and an optical recording method using said sheet. CONSTITUTION:The upper section of a support sheet 41 is coated with the dispersion 43 of micro-capsules 31 in a bonding resin 42. The micro-capsule is formed by an anionic bimolecular film, and includes vehicles 11, on which a donor emitting electrons by irradiation with a specific excitation light and a cis- and trans-photoisomerized acceptor and is absorbed at their boundary surface. Color developing reactive substances 22, 24 are arranged in the internal and external phase of the vehicle 11. The acceptor is cis-isomerized by light irradiation having a wavelength different from the excitation light, and trans-isomerized by a chained electron relay between the donor and the acceptor by the irradiation with the excitation light. The permeation of the substances 22, 24 passing through the vehicle 11 is varied on the basis of these cis- and trans- isomerization of the acceptor, and a color developing reaction by the interdiffusion of the substances 22, 24 of the internal and external phase is controlled. |
