The instrument panel has a printed pattern on the front of a thin panel mounted in an outer support frame (6). The rear of the panel carries a thin film circuit for the connections to the instruments and indicators. Cutouts in the bottom of the support frame provide windows (21) for indicator symbols printed on the panel and illuminated by small lamps fitted into small recesses alongside the windows. The indicators can be LEDs (16) fitted from the rear of the panel and connected to the thin film circuit. One edge (24) of the indicator window can be sloped to form a reflective edge to enhance the illumination of the symbols.
