In the intervals between the spaced sheet piling anchors (30), the wall planks (2-6) are furnished with a close-fitting steel pre-form as a flange segment of a length equaling the piled wall sector between wall planks (7) carrying the anchor connection structures (13). The ends of the pre-form are positively joined to the adjoining anchorage structures. The pre-form consists of a steel beam of double-T section, and a welded cover sheet plus stiffener sheets at both ends making up bearing surfaces for the anchorage structures. The steel pre-forms carrying the anchorage structures consist of plates (9,10) welded to the planks and set on the top edges of the planks. Pre-form and adjoining segments are holed to take the steels used to locate adjoining segments in relative alignment.
