A direct liquid type collector writing instrument comprising ink (12) having a low viscosity of 2 to 100 mPa S, a collector (6) with an inner pressure regulating function and an ink induction wick, wherein an ink tank (7) contains a slender core pad (1) connected to the ink induction wick and capable of retaining ink, and is kept in optimum volumetric relations with the core pad (1) and the collector (6) or is divided into two or more spaces by a ring (13).
