The invention concerns a four-stroke internal combustion engine, wherein the internal combustion is produced in an ideal ignition position (11) in the combustion chamber located between a power piston (12) a counter-piston (1), the power piston driving in rotation the crankshaft (13) through the drive rod (14) and crankarm. The invention is characterised in that in the ideal ignition position (11) the connecting rod (14) and the crankarm form an angle close to 90 DEG , and said counter-piston (1) is mobile along said power piston (12) axis. |
